Unable to add card in Apple Wallet for a minor's device

My son is almost 14 and when I klick on wallet and add card it just shows me that I don’t have previous cards but doesn’t show a button to add a card like on my adults device. Can someone help? Thanks a lot :)

If your family organizer set up Apple Cash for you, you can use it to make purchases in participating stores, apps, and websites.

Note that Apple does age "by birth year" in some cases so somebody who turned 14 yesterday may not count.

You can also use Apple Cash to send and receive money with people you know. If you're under 13 years old, you can't add a debit card to Wallet to use with Apple Cash.
