Apple Calendar keeps autocomplete’ing a wrong email address that isn’t in Contacts or Mail

Apple Calendar on macOS keeps shoving a wrong email address in the attendee autocomplete list. This email:

  • Is NOT in Contacts
  • Is NOT in Mail’s Previous Recipients
  • Is NOT anywhere in Gmail or iCloud contacts synced to my Mac
  • Only shows up when I type a name in Calendar invites
  • Was on the online iCloud contacts portal, but refused to change back on the desktop app even after being edited.

I’ve deleted all calendar events that had this email, cleared the cache folders in ~/Library/Containers/com.apple.iCal/Data/Library/Caches/com.apple.iCal (with Calendar quit, CalendarAgent killed, and rebooted), but the **** thing still appears.

Anyone figured out how to fully clear this autocomplete cache in

Sonoma (maybe an OS update is required here)? Apple’s autocomplete

system is a mess and I’m done with this ghost email haunting my

calendar.
