Bluetooth mouse Dies after a few minutes of inactivity

Details:

The mouse pairs without issues and works flawlessly-until it doesn’t. After about 10 minutes of inactivity (e.g., while watching a show), it stops responding to clicks and movements. Restarting the mouse doesn’t help; the only fix is resetting the Bluetooth service (sudo pkill bluetoothd).

Key observations:

  • The same issue occurs with Xbox gamepads.
  • The problem only appears when more than one Bluetooth device is connected to the Mac Mini.
  • Bluetooth headphones remain unaffected under the same conditions.

Device: Mac Mini M4, macOS Sequoia 15.5
