Sound while using Apple Maps is gone, how do I fix it?

My Apple Maps app has no sound through my phone. My volume is set to high, the indicator on the app says sound, but the only time I have audio is if I connect it to Bluetooth to the car. I have restarted app and phone, this has been happening for months. How do I get sound back?
