Freeform boards missing from Mac after syncing it with iCloud

I recently went to check my freeform boards only to find that they were all gone. i had them saved to icloud but they are missing and they arent in the recent folder or the recently deleted. when i checked my mac to see if they were there they popped up for a second before the app finished “syncing with iCloud” and they disappeared again. Can anyone help I really want my boards back they took forever to make
