iMac Photos not syncing with iCloud for several months

No idea what to do now...I've serached all such issues and none of the step-by-steps online have resolved the issue. I have iOS Sequoia 15.5, I have 2 TB of Icloud storage and I have used less than half.

This is hard without knowing what you've tried. "all settings have been checke" is not very useful without a list.

  • Have you re-started your Mac?
  • *Have you re-started your Mac in Safe Mode? This bypasses certain potentially disruptive processes, and it often helps. Safe Mode is different for different computers, so see this: 

           Start up your Mac in safe mode - Apple Support 

  • Have you checked to see if the Photos Library you are using is your System Library in Photos' Settings>General?
  • Are you using "Optimize Storage?"
  • Have you checked to see if the Apple Account is really really the same on the Mac and at iCloud.com?
  • Have you checked at iCloud.com to see what pictures are there?
  • Have you checked the "syncing with iCloud" indicator at the bottom of the Library ?
  • Do you have your Library on an external drive? What is the format?
  • Do you have more than 10% free storage on your Mac?
