I just set up a new email alias as it's been a long time since I'd done it. I didn't get any verification code. I just set it up and it was done. The instructions don't say anything about a verification email, either.

Glad you got it to work. Did you get some sort of verification email? When I set mine up a few minutes ago, I did it from my Mac.

Check your spam or junk folder in your email accounts, as sometimes verification emails can end up there. If you still can't find the code, make sure your email provider isn't blocking emails from Apple.
