Apple Cash Restricted because of My Error - BEWARE

I sent my son money through Apple Cash. I had a balance, so the balance was sent and the rest came out of my bank account. A couple of days later, I see a mysterious debit on my account and reported it as fraud. In talking with my son, I realize it was the balance that was added to what was in my Apple Pay account I had sent to him. I immediately called my bank and canceled the fraud report. The money was initially taken out of my account, replaced, then taken out again after the fraud team looked at all the info. I thought the matter was complete. My husband called and said he could not send me money through Apple Cash. I go to my account and see it’s restricted. Calls made to both Apple and my bank and was told to wait a week or two. Waited. Called and was given same info from both sides. Waited. A month later, today, I called both sides again. The bank won’t take responsibility because they’ve closed the matter. Apple says Green Dot (? The financial institution) is waiting to hear from Chase.

Bottom line, it’s possible I may never get use of my Apple Pay account again. I need to wait 2 more weeks, and call Apple again to see if they’ve closed the matter. If they have and I still see restricted, I will no longer be able to send /receive money thru Apple Pay.

I've never reported fraud on my Apple Cash account - first time offender.

They have no procedures if you make a mistake - there’s no turning back, no mercy and it’s pretty much too bad so sad.

Learn from my mistake. Make absolutely sure it’s fraud before you call - no doubts. I shouldn’t have jumped the gun.

Everyone I spoke with was really nice. They just couldn’t help me at this point.
