My son just turned 13. When looking at his Apple ID it clearly shows his age is 13. However when trying to utilize Apple Pay we cannot turn it on and get a message that it is because he is under 13. How can we get Apple’s permissions to work as they should now that he is 13?
I’ve heard of this before. Because 13 is the age in US, Apple support may require contact from a parent or guardian to insure the child actually is 13. A simple call to Apple Support at 1-800-MY-Apple will resolve the issue.
What country are you in? The age at which a youth may use an electronic wallet. Many Western European countries require the user to be 14 or older, in a few cases. Apple cannot override banking regulations.
We’re in the US so 13 is the age. It’s odd because it shows his age as 13 but notice for why he can’t use it says it’s because he’s under 13.
