AirPods Pro 2 USB-C Audio Cutting Out on Mac After Firmware 7E93 and iOS 18.4.1

AirPods Pro 2 USB C work perfectly on my iPhone 15 Pro Max running iOS 18.5, no issues at all. But ever since updating to iOS 18.4.1 and firmware 7E93, I’ve been getting serious audio glitches only when using them with my MacBook Pro M1 14 inch and iMac (both on macOS 15.5).

Before this update to 7E93, switching between iPhone and Macs was seamless and audio performance was flawless. Now every 10 to 15 seconds while using them on the Mac, the sound clips, buzzes, distorts or disappears for one to two seconds. It happens across all apps: calls, music, video.

I’ve tried everything: reset, unpair and repair, switching Macs. The only thing that fixes it is turning off Bluetooth on my iPhone. I was hoping iOS 18.5 and macOS 15.5 will fix this but it did not.

Is anyone else running into this? Any permanent fix?
