How do I fix freezing iMessage app on iPad?

I basically, can open the IMessage app but if I want to type/text someone I just totally freezes!

I tried resetting and offing the app but nothing seems to work…

It has been working since I got the iPad, but 3 weeks ago it didn’t seem that it wanted to work…

I have connected with the apple support but doesn’t help.

I would start with

  • Make sure you're on the latest Software. Settings > General > Software Update
  • Try to force-quit iMessage app. (Swipe up from the bottom of the screen, then swipe up on the iMessage App)
  • Toggle iMessage off and then on again: Settings > Messages

If this doesn't work, I would try the network connection (Wi-Fi), and restart the device.
