Opened the calendar yesterday and all our info was gone. Checked it later and it was back. Opened it again this morning... empty again! Help, please!

First, make sure that your calendars have the checkboxes checked:
Sorry, I started to reply to this that day, but... I was on the phone with an awesome Apple rep who helped tremendously! Turns out the problem was we didn't have enough space and our computer was about to shut down. Never did get the most recent missing calendar info, but got everything back to running correctly.

There is very little actionable information to work with.
Perhaps if you supple some technical details and context would help ?
Right now, we can only guess and guessing about such matters are not productive
