Deleted and recently deleted messages are shown when I type in search bar on the home screen I do not sync or backup messages to iCloud, I thought when deleted messages were moved into recently deleted and you delete the messages they would be deleted but this doesn’t seem to be the case?

I just checked on my device and when a deleted a message from the Recently Deleted folder, it no longer appeared in the Search. What happens when you tap on the message from the Search Results?
While not necessary for me, if that did happen I would try a Force Restart in case it was stuck in a cache file and would then be cleared:
