Can't select different media types from the pull-down menu on iTunes

The media type pull-down menu is no longer working. I'm "locked" into whatever type is currently selected. I originally thought I was locked into just music. However, if I select something from my library in a search, that media type is "activated". However, I am not having any luck with the pull-down menu at all.

FYI, I'm running Windows 11, and am up to date.
