Apple charged without notifying trial period end

Apple does not notify you when trials will end. It's your responsibility to know when the trial will end and cancel before that time.

Refunds are at the sole discretion Apple, and they are under no obligation to grant them or explain why they are not eligible.

You will need to contact Apple Support directly for refunds from cancelled subscriptions as doing so from https://reportaproblem.apple.com/ usually results in a denied refund.

Usually if you are polite and patient when contacting Apple support, Apple may offer the refund, but remember, they don't have to, so entitlement and rude demands usually don't go well.

To the best of my knowledge, you don't get a notification about the end of a trial period.

I always put the a reminder on my calender for the day before any trial periods end.
