Can I use my iPhone as a trackpad for iPad?

Is there anyway that you can use your iPhone for a wireless trackpad for an iPad? I know you can use your Mac to control a cursor on the iPad with handoff or whatever it’s called. You’d think by now we can use our phone as a trackpad too. If not Apple can you make that happen?

iPhone as a trackpad, no. Not an option with Universal Desktop, or other parts of Continuity, or otherwise.

Apple Magic keyboards for iPad offer a trackpad, and a Magic Trackpad also works.
