Apple watch sends reminders for outlook calendar events that have no reminder set.

I have my apple watch synced with my outlook account which I used for work.

I receive all day blockers from colleagues, e.g. for vacation, that I do not want to get reminders for. I do not accept these meetings but follow them instead, so they stay in my calendar.

All these meetings do not have any reminders configured.

But still I get a daily reminder for these events on my watch.

Is there any setting I can use to turn off this annoying behavior?

I would suggest you try separating your reminders from your calendar. This was introduced with ios18.

If that doesnt work maybe you should use Outlook app for Outlook and ios apps for other accounts. Decouple outlook account from the ios reminders

Reminders or emails?

When third-party apps behave badly like this then only turning off notifications for Outlook on the watch will fix this. iPhone, Watch app, My Watch tab, notifications, find and turn off Outlook notifications by changing from 'mirror my iPhone' to 'custom' and then turn them off or see what options are available.

Or iPhone, settings, apps, Reminders, is outlook turned on? Should it be?

I am using the the default iOS calendar and mail app and sync to my apple watch.

Notifications for outlook are turned off in the watch settings.

I do not want to turn off all calendar reminders as this is how I get notified about upcoming meetings.

I have calendar entries in my iOS calendar, which is synced from my Microsoft Exchange account. They either have reminders (= alerts) set or not.

If they have reminders set I expect to receiver a reminder at the specified time.

If they don't have reminders set I expect to not receive any reminders about them. I do not need a daily reminder that a colleague is on vacation. But I need a reminder 15 minutes before a meeting starts.

Notifications for the outlook.com account are activated both for calendar and reminders.

If I understand you correctly, the only way to NOT receive reminders, for items that do not have reminders configured, is to deactivate notifications all together?
