Can Beats Pill 2024 charge and play simultaneously?

I have found no definitive answer, can the Beats Pill 2024 charge and play at the same time? Does this require a USB-C Y-adapter to provide more power than a Mac can provide? That is, the Mac and a charger connected to one side of the adapter for audio and power, respectively, and the other side connected to the Pill providing it with both.

never used a beats pill, but I've never come across a Bluetooth speaker that could not charge and play at the same time, and since they seem to do well in many of the best external Bluetooth speaker tests then it would be chocking if they would have such a big limitation compared to the rest.
