There is no iTunes version for Sequoia. Whatever you may have installed is not meant for Sequoia and will not run on it.

iTunes was removed from macOS all the way back with macOS 10.15 Catalina almost 6 years ago.

Whatever you need iTunes for on Sequoia, you do through one of the replacement Apps (TV, Music, Books) or the Finder.

The Music App should have read your iTunes library and imported it to itself.

Try holding the option key on your keyboard before opening the Music App, then when requested navigate to the " iTunes Library.itl" file you want to open and click on open.

The Music App should then attempt to migrate the library.

If it fails or cannot open the library, you may need to have it converted in an earlier version first which may be difficult.

That worked! I had tried changing to the ITL file using Settings; the ITL file was always faded. as was the XML file.

Glads that it worked.

Another question: Because I did not know how to get the Music app to import from iTunes, I found a way to disable Music from automatically importing a CD when it is inserted. I have not found that setting to re-enable it.

The setting should be in the Settings section of the Music Menu of the Music App, under General. You may need to have a CD drive connected and a CD inserted for the option to Appear.

Set the "When a CD is inserted:" drop down to "Import CD" or "Import CD and Eject"

And finally... How do I de-install iTunes?

Drag the iTunes.app from the Applications folder in Finder to the Trash can. That should remove it.

The Settings help indicates that a "When a Cd is inserted" pop-up menu is supposed to, um, pop-up when General settings is selected. It does not pop-up.

What are the steps to enable auto-import?
