APPLE TV 17.4.1 Turns TV back on after power down

Apple 4K TV with TVOS 17.4.1 the latest currently.

When I power off Apple TV it powers off my Panasonic Viera LED TV as well through the communication link.

However, moments later, the Apple TV powers back on and then powers back on my Panasonic TV.

It did not used to do this. It only seems this is happening after the latest update. I see others have complained about this in the past. What code did Apple change to cause this issue to reoccur?

I read someone complained that it was because I was on wifi. I am using an ethernet cable. I read that it was the communication link. Well I turned it off but that then does not turn the TV off.

With these updates, I can't wonder if we fix one bug and two old ones come back. The old, one step forward two steps back.

Are you sure you are on the latest version? The latest is 18.4.1.

That said I have both the 4K and HD versions of Apple TV running with the latest OS 18.4.1 versions on each and they don't behave that way so it appears the bug is within your device.

So if you're sure it's a bug do your part and report it directly to Apple as they don't read these user forums.
