How do I upload music CDs and sync files from PC to iPhone after iTunes discontinuation?

Since itunes is no longer supported, I have a few issues....

Firstly you cant upload any music CD's as the files aren't compatible .cda files v aac flies or mp3 files.

You need an "Apple Devices" program from the App store to sync files from a pc to an I phone.

You will probably need I'm guessing, a file conversion program which will cost you a subscription.

Have I missed anything ?

I Tunes worked absolutely fine, just sayin'

I have downloaded Apple Music, which is fine, however it’s imported all my music track from I tunes !! Some 17,000 tracks. CD music file format’s aren’t compatible with the new Apple Music app

I would argue Apple Music isn't even adequate as a music playing app. It doesn't support CD import or export, nor does it support multiple libraries, home sharing, printing, and many other features iTunes users may be used to. The only potential benefit I can find is if you have an Apple Music subscription account you may be able to access hi-res streams and downloads while your subscription is active. In all other respects iTunes is a better media manager and player.
