How to recover purchased iTunes music not showing in Purchased list or available for download?

I assumed they had DRM locking them to a single device, an old Macbook Pro. So, I followed directions to delete the songs on iTunes and to empty the trash. Then go to the iTunes store and download the songs again. The store shows "Purchased" in grey but there is no way to download them as an available option. Now I cannot even buy the song again from the same album as that is also not an option.

Given I did not trust it would work, I only performed the above on one (1) song.

This is the strange part. When I go to the iTunes store and bring up the Album I purchsed the song from, the song "Price" column states that it was purchased. When I use the menu at the top of the screen and select --> Account --> Purchased, the band, album, and ALL the songs do not show up in that list, even the songs I did not delete yet. When I search for the any of the songs in that album, it does not come up in the Purchased list either.

Another possible factor is that I may have bought it so long ago that an old @Yahoo email might have been used. I still go into that email and delete the 10,000+ unread emails once ever few months but that email is not available to put into my Apple ID account for some reason. My Apple emails (@mac, @me, @icloud, and my @gmail accounts are there. I think if I purchased the songs with my iTunes email being the @yahoo this might be a problem.

Any suggestions on getting my song back?
