How to delete chatrooms from apple messages?

I am able to delete messages from apple messages but totally unable to delete a chatroom I created yrs ago. Is there a way to delete the chatroom completely and not get more messages notifications from it?

Hello!


What color are the text message bubbles? If blue, tap the group photo, then tap “Leave this Conversation”


If the messages are green, you must ask the group members to create a new group, and exclude you from it.
