Is there any difference in the "key meachanism" for different bluetooth Magic Keyboards for Mac

I have the smaller Magic Keyboard for Macs and a bigger one with numpad. I know the keys in magic keyboard with numpad are bigger and spaced out. That's fine. My main beef is the keys in the smaller keyboard without the numpad are more "clicky" and have comparatively less play. I loved how it felt so I bought the bigger one, the feel is different now but I can get used to it. Still has the ease of typing that the smaller one has.

My question: Is this difference due to version of the keyboards? So if I buy the newer one with numpad, will it have different typing experience? (I prefer clicky keys with less play.)
