My iMac 2018 is still running Monterey. In 2022 I bought a 1-T G-Drive SSD and installed the operating system on it, and it's still fine. I've put off updating the OS. Do you think it would overwhelm my vintage machine? I will attach my EtreCheck report.

Actually, if you read the report, you will see that it is a 2017 Retina 4K iMac... There is no such thing as a 2018 iMac.
It can be upgraded to the latest version of macOS 13, Ventura. That's as far as it can go.

Ventura is still one of the "most recent three" - for now. If Apple keeps to the same release schedule that they have followed for the last ten years, Sequoia's successor will come out some time in September, October, or November – at which time Ventura will fall off the list of the "most recent three."
