How do I prevent my iPhone 12 Pro from sliding down with MagSafe in a car?

I have an iPhone 12 Pro, no case and new MagSafe and the phone slides down at the slightest bump in the car.

Should the grip be strong enough to hold the phone securely vertically please ?

There are magnets in both the phone and the bracket/charger.

It looks like that one uses an original Apple MagSafe charger. If that's the case, it may not be sufficient to hold onto it when you're driving.

There are lots of relatively inexpensive MagSafe car mounts with significantly stronger magnets to deal with the motion of the car during charging.

Some phone cases also contain a stronger magnet that might help.

Thanks Kilted Tim.

turns out the MagSafe I bought was a clever fake counterfeit. The actual Apple MagSafe has a strong magnet 😊.

only problem I have now is it’s too loose in the Ram Mount MagSafe ball adapter ☹️. I’m wondering if Apple changed the diameter between the 15w and newer 25w MagSafes as RAM mount have apparently changed the description of their mount to include ‘for 15w MagSafe’

changing phones etc is so much fun !!
