How to resolve Calendar update problems on Apple Watch?

My Apple Watch 9 is not always updating the calendar properly. I have entries in my iPhone 14 Pro from 3-4 days ago that are not appearing on my Apple Watch. I have no idea how to force it to sync, as there appears to be no obvious way to get the watch to force a calendar sync. Any input from the experts here?
