SUICA Digital Transit Card not showing in Wallet

Hello, I have an upcoming trip to Japan (I live in the United States) and proceeded to add the digital transit card Suica on my iPhone 16 Pro Max with iOS 18.4 and added a small amount of funds using my Apple Pay Visa Debit card during the working daylight hours Japan Time (not during their regularly schedule maintenance down time). The payment appears to have gone through from my bank (no "payment failed" notifications) but the Suica card does not show up in the lineup of digital cards in my Apple Wallet. I thought I had to be physically in Japan to see it in the lineup but after reading some discussions/reddit, that is not the case. I've rebooted and also checked the content/privacy restrictions in settings and all is set. The only thing I can think of is that it takes more than 60 minutes to show up in the lineup of digital cards, haha. When I tried a second time to add the Suica digital transit card, it wanted another payment and I'm hesitant to do that unless I get a refund or payment failed from the first time. It is *not* showing up in my Apple Watch wallet. Has this happened to anyone and what was the solution?
