Should it be possible to open images stored in Photos 6.0 with Photoshop 20.0.5?
My 2026 iMac has OS 11 Big Sur.
Not sure if there might be an incompatibility issue. I want to be able to edit the images using Photoshop.
iMac 27″, macOS 11.7
In Photos, in the menu Image, you should see Edit With:
"Edit With" should have most things that Photos recognizes as editing apps. Does Photoshop appear there? There is an "Other" choice, as well.
Another place that can be used to transfer pictures to other editors is found in the Edit mode under the more (•••) choice:
Only certain apps with Photos modules (or something like that) can appear here, and you can manage that with "Manage."
