All podcasts fail to download on iOS 18.4

Every night when I get on WiFi I previously opened the podcast app and downloaded all of the day’s episodes to listen to the next day. I noticed on April 1st they all failed. A quick google search said to check updates so naturally I upgraded to iOS 18.4, but the issue persisted.

The app still loads all of the episodes of multiple podcasts that posted for the day, they all begin downloading, but once the little purple circle closes I get the error message “unable to download, try again later.”

I’ve restarted my phone a bunch, I’ve turned off or changed around multiple podcast settings (and changed back), and nothing helps. Am I alone? Some people on Reddit have talked about this issue, but it seems fairly isolated unless people aren’t noticing they’re streaming their podcasts over cellular.

I haven’t tried deleting and reinstalling where it’s a stock app I wasn’t sure if that would help at all.
