Is this still possible? Or is this a bug. Single tab is selected in Settings.

Since it's a replacement phone and not obeying your settings, I'd contact Apple directly for help.
Yes, it’s still at the bottom. ‘Single Tab’ is definitely selected in Settings. Strange. This is a new phone (replacement from Apple when they couldn’t repair my phone), and I’ve just restored it from a computer backup. Perhaps something got messed up during this process? 😅
I have done this, as mentioned and shown in the screenshots (not sure if they are showing?). Unfortunately this does not work; the tab bar is still on bottom.
I missed the screenshot showing Single Tab. Are you saying that the search bar is still not at the top when you open Safari? It is at the top of the Safari page on my iPhone 16 Pro Max on iOS 18.4.
