bookmarks tab not showing on safari start page
on my iMac I used to start safari but the bookmarks tab stopped showing when Safari opened for the first time. I had to go to click Bookmarks then click show Bookmarks every time....so frustrating.
Solution....I found this morning if you click on the hide sidebar icon at the top of the bookmarks tab, which closes the bookmarks tab, then close the safari window the bookmarks tab won't be there next time safari is opened. But if the bookmarks tab is open when you close the safari window, next time the safari window is opened the bookmarks tab will be there opened too. Effectively Safari remembers the state of the bookmarks tab the previous time safari was closed.
Hope that makes sense. good luck, regards Des
