My Apple TV keeps restarting after I turn it off

I am watching TV, using my Apple TV and my Bravia Sony TV and I finish, push the power button on the remote to turn off the Apple TV and then in the upper right is the power off choice and I select that and the Apple TV is off and the TV is off. And then if I wait a minute or so, the Apple TV turns itself back on and thus turns the TV back on, so I then go in and again turn off the Apple TV using the remote and push the power off button showing up on the TV screen and finally it does stop. This is not something that is always been going on, but it is something as constant and I’d like to get it to stop.
