AirPods Pro 2 not working for calls on Apple Watch since latest watchOS update
Hey folks,
Since the latest watchOS update, my AirPods Pro 2 have stopped working properly for calls when connected to my Apple Watch.
Here’s what’s happening:
- When I answer a call on the Apple Watch and use my AirPods Pro 2, I can’t hear anything — total silence.
- If I switch the audio output to the Apple Watch’s built-in speaker, I can hear the caller just fine.
- Listening to music via the Apple Watch on my AirPods works perfectly, so it's not a general connection issue.
- Calls via iPhone using the same AirPods Pro 2 work as expected — both audio input and output are fine.
So the issue only occurs when making or receiving a call via the Apple Watch, not when playing media or using the iPhone. I rebooted my Apple Watch multiple times and also disconnected & unpaired my Airpods but unfortunately this did not fix this issue.
Has anyone else experienced this? Any known fixes or workarounds?
