I guess I made the mistake of working on my Garage Band song projects from both my iPhone and iPad and now the iPad isn't responding correctly. What to do?

Specifically, the iPad isn't recognizing my headphones now and doesn't give me the option of turning the monitor on or selecting a different input, it just lists "mic" and "off" respectively while the playback comes over the iPad mic and interface not through my headphones.
