Samsung monitor won’t let me sign into Apple TV

I have been going round in circles for hours now trying to login to the Apple TV app on my Samsung monitor. I’ve even tried deleting the app (to no avail) and resetting my monitor and logged back in to all of my other apps seamlessly, except for Apple TV. It comes up with a QR code to scan or a 6-digit code to enter manually from your phone. I’ve tried both ways multiple times. After entering the code, it says “You’ve signed in to Apple TV. Your television will refresh.” But it never does and instead just gives me a new code to input. It’s extremely frustrating. I want to be able to use the service I pay for. Can someone please tell me how to get it to work? My monitor is up to date. Thanks in advance for your help.
