LG Monitor not detected on macOS Sequoia 15.4 after update, but Hisense TV is detected

My LG Monitor which I have been using as a secondary display since 4 years with macOS is not detected after the update to macOs Sequoia 15.4. The LG display goes into Power Saving Mode instead. Interestingly, it does detect Hisense TV so that rules out HDMI port failure. The display also works fine when connected to Windows PC.

After the update, the display was working on the same day. The problem started the next day. I've seen a plenty of posts about this issue on macOS Sequoia 15.3 but I did not find a solution which worked.

Which mac? Which display? Are you using the same HDMI cable?

Did you try restarting your mac in Safe Mode?

Most problems that I have seen mentioned in this forum have to do with using multiple external displays. Is that your situation? Does the display work if it’s the only one?
