LG Monitor not detected on macOS Sequoia 15.4 after update, but Hisense TV is detected

I had the same issue today, and saw someone say to change from T3 cable to a Thunderbolt 4 cable, so I did and the monitor worked! The only issue is the cable is nearly $200!

Which mac? Which display? Are you using the same HDMI cable?

Did you try restarting your mac in Safe Mode?

Most problems that I have seen mentioned in this forum have to do with using multiple external displays. Is that your situation? Does the display work if it’s the only one?

Hi there, we have the same issue with Mac Book Pro 14" 2021, Sequoia 15.4 in combination with LG Ultra Fine 24".

Using LG Ultra Fine 27" with said Mac Book works.

Had same issue. Switched to a Thunderbolt 4 cable (at nearly $200) and monitor worked.
