I had problems with my AirPod Pros 2nd Gen in that they would not charge. I always go the green light unless I pressed the two AirPods down in the case forcefully. Then it was hit or miss.
Luckily I was still under the 3 year Apple Care and took them in for evaluation. I got a new set 3 days later and they work beautifully. If you're still under Apple Care take them in for an diagnostic check and repair. You might do that even if they aren't under warranty so to get a free diagnostic check.
