Hi,

Yes, you can move a project from one library to another.

First, open iMovie in the library in which the project resides. Then go to the Projects Browser screen (where all of the projects are displayed as icons). From the projects browser screen view do a File/Open Library/Other and navigate to the destination library where you want to move your project. Then move your cursor over the project icon to reveal a circle with dots in it to the right of the project's title. Click on the circle and you will get a drop down menu with the option to Move to Library. Click on Move to Library and select the destination library. The project will be moved to the destination library.

Before you do the above moving procedure select the project's icon in the Projects Browser screen and do a File/Consolidate Project Media. This is to insure that all of the media in the project gets carried over to the destination library when you movie the project.

When I do this:

"From the projects browser screen view do a File/Open Library/Other and navigate to the destination library where you want to move your project. "

The destination Library Browser opens and the source Lib that I want to Move from closes.

What am I missing?

O.K. Open the project that you want to move. Then do the File/Open Library/Other procedure from the project"s screen. Open the destination library. Now both libraries should be open and you should still be in your project screen view. Then go to your original libraries' project browser screen and click on the dot with circles in it next to the project's title. The circle will appear when you movie your cursor over the project icon.

I'm not sure if I did it as you explained, but I got it done.

Maybe just the terms we are using to describe?

Open both Libraries in the Project browser. File/Open Library/Other.

Both were available from the "All Projects" pull down.

Then I made the Move as you described that way.

I assume I can dump the empty Library now?
