Why is my MacBook Air making a loud swishing sound?
My MacBook makes a loud swishing sound without any reason. Its really loud.

That often is the sound of email being sent. Double check your Sound Effect selection under the Sound System Settings/Preferences to make sure what settings are there.
It can also be a fan bearing that is off when heavy process load is reached.
If it is reproducible bring it in for service and reproduce for them to see what they think.
