Under MacOS 15.4, every file I save from Numbers adds a suffix ".NUMBERS" on to each file and both the original file name and the suffix added file name show up in recents. This never happened before, has something changed??

Something has changed? I just upgraded to MacOS 15.4, but maybe that's not it. I can go into each document and turn off the "extension" (which I will), but it is weird! Thanks for your help.
I go to "Get Info" and check ON the "Hide extension" button and it does hide the extension, but whenever I save it, the "Hide extension" button is unchecked and I see the ".numbers" on the filename again.
In Finder go in the menu to Finder > Settings > Advanced and see what you have for 'Show all filename extensions'
