Can't play songs in apple music originally purchased on iTunes

Hello. I've just cleaned up an old computer (PC) and am trying to get my iTunes music to work in Apple Music app. I've tried resetting the directory from inside AppleMusic. I've tried moving the files to a different folder including the Apple Music Media folder (which is not how I purchased these items). The only thing that seems to work is re-importing. My apple music interface shows my albums and songs but it doesn't look at the media that is on the drive. Below is the file tree. BTW I don't have an Apple Music Subscription and I really don't want one. I would just like to be able to play my current content. Thanks for your help in advance.

Typically if Apple Music for Windows is installed on a computer that already has a working iTunes installation then Apple Music will convert the iTunes library, referencing the media on its current paths, and hack iTunes such that it then only works with audiobooks and podcasts. If you simply install Apple Music with no active iTunes library then you get an empty Apple Music library. Moving the old iTunes folder around or changing the media folder location in Apple Music won't connect the library to the media. Setting the media folder location determines where new content gets placed, but there is no automatic scan for media other than in the Automatically Add to Music folder. Importing the media loses date added, play counts, ratings, playlists, etc.

My recommendation would be to uninstall whichever of Apple Music, Apple TV, and Apple Devices that you have installed. Then (re)install iTunes from this link rather than the Microsoft Store:

The MS Store version may auto update iTunes and reinstall Apple Music, which is an inferior product IMO. You can always test out Apple Music again once the iTunes library is working correctly, should you want to. Delete any existing Apple Music library first so that it creates a new one and converts the active iTunes library when installed.
