Why doesn't VoiceOver announce read-only text areas?
Read-Only textarea fields doesn't announce its read-only state with mac screen reader. Mac treats read-only textarea field as editable and do not announce the status of the field as dimmed or read-only to accessibility users. Its causing confusion to accessibility users to assume the field as editable.
