Can I add a recurring AppleCare+ plan after purchasing with Apple Card Monthly Installments?

Has anyone tried to add a recurring AppleCare+ plan after purchase with Apple Card Monthly installments? If so, did it work?

From what Sales said, it is a limitation of their system, since the recurring AppleCare+ would always be separate from the Monthly Apple Card Installments. They said I could call Apple Care once I placed the order and they could add it over the phone with just the order number. Otherwise I need to remember to add it manually as soon as I receive the item. I need to log in with my Apple ID Asap or it will not list the device as eligible.

Since I am not allowed to buy the recurring AppleCare+ Coverage during the purchase, it makes me think that I will not be allowed later to purchase it. Otherwise, why wouldn't it allow it? Seems like a minor limitation to overcome in the ordering system.

Recurring AppleCare+ is not eligible for Apple Card Monthly Installments. If you wish to continue with this payment method, please remove the recurring AppleCare+ plan and select the pay-up-front AppleCare+ plan.

So, why does it depend on the type of payment? It won't allow me to check out if I use a certain kind of payment. I don't want them to finance a subscription, allow it on a separate invoice... Apple has this across the board in every state. Even when it is done with a regular credit card it is still separate? Do you work for Apple or are you just making this information up???

Do you work for the Florida OIR. I am very familiar with this department because of the BS car dealers say in Florida. (Auto dealers in Florida will tell you the state regulates the price paid for extended warranties, then gives you something in writing that says they don't. They are doing price fixing which is against the law.)

What is the source of your information???

Why create two topics on the same subject? I already answered your questions.

You have 60 days from date of purchase to purchase Apple Care. It’s not a limitation of the ordering system. It’s a limitation of state laws regulating various types of extended warranties. Many states do not allow extended warranties, damage protection plans, insurance etc. to be financed. It’s the law and that’s why it can’t be financed.

(FL Stat § 634.121 (2024)..... By July 1, 2011, each service agreement sold in this state must be accompanied by a written disclosure to the consumer that the rate charged for the service agreement is not subject to regulation by the office of Insurance Regulation. This pertains only to Motor Vehicle Service Agreements.)
