How to fix AirPods Pro 2 microphone issues?

I can’t get iPod pro 2’s to work when I “hey siri”or speech to text(talk text inside message window by hitting the little microphone) it turns blue for a second and goes away. I’ve tried updating them nothing changed(closed box near my phone plugged in for half hour or more). They work on calls. That’s it. Anywhere else it seems the microphone will just not work. It shows version 6A305 on the pros version.
