Why does Finder freeze or become unresponsive on MacBook Air?

Hey. Sometimes when I click Finder it sort of "freezes " or is not possible to click on maps.

The problem is fixed if I click on another app and goes back to finder again.

I thought it was related to iCloud but nothing I tried changed the problem.

Is this a bug that's gonna be fixed or have I done something wrong?

Hey. I do not see why I should try safe mode.

When I googled many other had similar problems, but I don't think they were the same (MacBook Air m4 )

I m hoping its a bug apple will fix.

I also had the same problem with my previous m4 , I changed to a cheaper one because I noticed I didn't need the spec for the other one.

so I'm running 16 gb and 250gb drive.

The problem with Finder seem to be solved now. I probably messed up in settings etc.

however now I have another problem, and I do not know how to fix it.

When you can mark folders with colors, the red color won't go off a folder when I try to remove it.

another thing I noticed is that if I click on a folder with listed view and go to home folder

or another fold it also show in listed view even if it shouldn't do that. after I go to another folder with

normal view and back to home folder or the other specific folder it is solved.

I must have made a mess of Finder, it seems.....

i also had symbol names of maps and files etc because I used a windows pc when I created them

i have removed the other symbols like _ and ! and similar. because I learnt Mac doesnt want those symbols

I still have a little issues with Finder

but its much better now,

It becomes "unresponsive " but is easily fixed by clicking another app and go back to Finder.

it might be related to the files I have on my computer,

but I have tried to fix every name of folder etc so there won't be any extra characters

like you can have with windows
