Subscription through Verizon canceled for Apple Arcade, still shows as subscribed by Verizon

Bit of background: I started a free trial of Apple Arcade with Verizon back in 2023 and when I tried to cancel it when it was over, there was no option for me to do so with Verizon so I have been billed since. Until December 2024 my plan changed “successfully” it claims of cancelling the Apple Arcade subscription through them.

That doesn’t seem to be the case. I still have access to Apple Arcade and it still shows as being subscribed through Verizon. I have contacted them numerous times but they all say they will cancel it right then and there and it has been finally “done”. Even though the bill has “already” removed it.

I’ve been wanting to pay directly through the Appstore, Verizon hasn’t been any help and I just want freedom on my subscription and seen many others have the same issue with no honest answer from them. I was able to do this easy with Apple Music which I did at the same time and was easily able to cancel and switch my subscription being directly to the Appstore.

I know that subscriptions through phone providers have to be canceled through them but was wondering if anything can be done by Apple’s end, or if anyone else going through this that has found a solution as I am at my wits end. :(

Thank you for your time.
