Please Indicate No Sharing Between Different Countries in Family Sharing Set Up/Troubleshooting Guides!

My wife and I just spent more than an hour trying to share a book using Family Sharing so we could both read it during our holiday. Finally we discovered that we can't share the book because our Apple IDs are set to two different countries.


Please update these articles:


Set up Family Sharing - Apple Support


If you can't find your family's shared apps and content - Apple Support


to indicate that, if the Apple ID of the family members are in different countries, they cannot share content.


Even better, remove this seemingly arbitrary and ridiculous limitation!

Apple's media services are all nationally bound as there are different rights holders in each country. Pricing also varies by region. Cross border sales are not permitted, and all members of a family sharing group need to be using accounts connected to the same national store. Use Product Feedback - Apple or click No to the Helpful? question at the bottom of either article to share your thoughts with Apple.
