I have the latest iOS on my iPhone -18.4. My AirPods Pro 2 model has the software version: 6B34 and no matter how many times, I remove it from my devices, reset it, charge etc. It will not update to the latest software 7E93. Please can anyone advise on what can be done, after trying many times following the steps of resetting etc?

Put your AirPods in their case and close the lid. Connect your AirPods to power with a charging cable. Keep the case near the bluetooth device it’s paired to. Wait thirty minutes or more. Open the case and check the firmware version. These are Apple’s official instructions. No need to remove, reset, charge, etc. Don't know where you got that nonsense.
Worked like a charm for me and my AirPods 4 are now updated to 7E93.

Mine will not update either. Tried absolutely everything. I am on same version as you and trying to get latest. Will keep investigating and if I find a way I will let you know. I think apple should be addressing this it is obviously there are a lot of people with similar problems.
I took my AirPods to my local Apple Store and the specialists at the Genius Bar informed me that unfortunately my AirPods are not genuine Apple products, which shocked me. I genuinely thought they were. They said it's a common problem and that's why I can't get the update
That’s regrettable but you have learned a valuable lesson. If it sounds too god to be true it usually is. Buy only from Apple directly or a well known and reputable authorized Apple reseller. Stay away from eBay, Facebook Marketplace, Temu, and the rest. I won’y buy Apple products from Amazon either because you don't really know who you are dealing with unless it specifically says “Sold and Shipped” by Amazon.
Apple HAS addressed it and provided a support document on how to update your AirPod’s firmware. I posted it above. Have you bothered to read the instructions?
