Is there a way for calendar alarms to be persistent and louder?
I keep missing appointments because I'm not close enough to hear the calendar alarm, or I've turned down the volume when advertisements keep popping up. I could be in the bathroom, asleep, taking out the trash, or in the middle of something.
Calendar alarms are short and not particularly loud. I need a calendar alarm that persists until I turn it off, and even have a snooze button. I spoke to the accessibility team but they can only adjust the sound if I wear hearing aids.
(I sync the calendar on icloud between my iphone and mac.)
I've missed doctor's appointments that I've waited four months. I've missed taking medication as well.
I have made the suggestion to Apple a few times. In the meantime, is there an add-on, extension, third-party app, or something I can do in terminal, automator, shortcuts, or AI software? *
I know it's not for everyone. This would only be helpful for parents, people who are not within 3 feet of the computer/phone, busy people, people who drive, those with ADD, people over 60 developing hearing loss, the hearing-impaired, heavy sleepers, people with cannot miss items on their calendar, people who shower, anyone using power tools or who has the music up loud, teenagers, children, those walking on city streets, anyone. in the middle of an important discussion, someone with an overflowing sink, etc. Well, I guess I'm wrong. EVERYone needs it, or at least only those with important calendar events.
So until Apple considers this, can anyone help me with a workaround?
*I have not used shortcuts, automator, etc. I do not program. Perhaps there are places where experts for them hang out where someone might see an opportunity?
